Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how TiQal Bible ("we", "our", or "the app") handles information when you use the mobile app and related support pages. We designed the app to collect only what is needed to provide core features.
Information we collect
Account information: If you create an account or sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile details such as your name and email address through our authentication provider (Firebase).
Preferences: Reading language, font size, appearance settings, bookmarks, highlights, and similar preferences may be stored on your device and, when you are signed in, in your cloud profile.
Location (optional): If you allow location access, the app may use your location to show nearby churches or save a location in your profile. Location is used only when you choose features that need it.
Notifications (optional): If you turn on Verse of the Day notifications, the app schedules local reminders on your device. We do not need your email address for this feature.
Crash diagnostics (optional): If the app encounters an unexpected error, we may receive anonymous crash reports through Sentry. These reports can include device type, operating system version, app version, and technical error details. They do not include your Bible reading content.
How we use information
To provide Bible reading, search, bookmarks, highlights, and account features.
To remember your settings and, when signed in, keep your profile consistent across sessions.
To improve reliability, fix bugs, and maintain app security.
What stays on your device
Some data — such as guest preferences, cached Bible content, bookmarks, and highlights — may be stored locally on your phone using secure on-device storage. Signed-in users may also have preferences stored in the cloud.
Third-party services
We use Firebase (Google) for authentication, cloud storage of profile data, and delivery of some Bible and reference content. These providers process data according to their own privacy policies.
Sign-in with Google or Apple is handled by those platforms. We receive only the information needed to create and maintain your account.
We use Sentry for crash and error reporting in release builds of the app, to help us diagnose and fix problems.
Children's privacy
TiQal Bible is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us at dulatechsolution@gmail.com.
Your choices
You can use the app as a guest, sign out, delete bookmarks and highlights on your device, turn off notifications in Profile, and deny location permission in your device settings.
You may request account-related assistance by emailing dulatechsolution@gmail.com or using Help & Support in the More tab of the app.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
